Approach

My approach to counseling draws from several theoretical orientations. My counseling is shaped by a systemic understanding of the families’ and or clients’ individual needs. For parenting struggles I Collaborative Problem-solving approach and Gottman method for couple. The modalities include but are not limited to Internal Family Systems Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus Trauma Focus, Collaborative Problem Solving, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Structural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Models of Intergenerational Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Client-Centered, Attachment Theory, Lifespan Integration, and Emotional Focused Therapy all of which provide a framework to create opportunities for clients to move toward changes in their lives.

Serenity Counseling is a remote mental health practice that consistently believes in a modern telehealth approach to healing the mind. I do some in person appointments as well. I go so much beyond just talking things out. I study the person/family history and use an experiential approach to treat mental health. I am passionate about helping clients accept the strengths that exist already within them. My mission is to equip you with brain-powered life skills so that you may conquer obstacles, develop, and rebuild after setbacks. I am a seasoned therapist who can help you overcome a wide range of problems, such as anxiety, despair, family disputes, loss, stress, trauma, and more. This is a place where adults, teens, kids, and families can all feel comfortable being themselves while working toward improving themselves. I was in the Military which gives me more of a perspective for veterans and their families going through struggles as well.
